The thermal wax pellet tells the car when it's warmed up and adjusts the idle accordingly.

i did a code check using a wire in that green thingy by the battery.

got codes: 11, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34?(can't remember for sure, maybe not), 40 and 41.

the first one (11) is: intake air thermosensor (engine); so my intake air temp fixed at 20C (68F)

i guess that means my car's sensor is fuxed, so its defaulting to a 68F reading. seeing how its a good 90F here in queens, that could be a casue of a fuel mix problem or something.

all the other ones - save another- are solenoid valve problems. so apparently its the solenoid valve that is causing most of the idle stalling problem.

the other (40) is: auxiliary port valve. i'm guessing those are the 5th and 6th sleeves, which have been removed, so would show as an error. please correct me if i am wrong on that assumption.

all in all it looks to be a thermosensor and that blasted solenoid valve. how can i remedy these problems? please give me any advice you guys can.

Thanks for all your help guys, really appreciate it. i don't know what i'd do without you all.

The thermosensor is located by the water neck, behind the alternator.

This will cause the motor to run so rich that the exhaust TIPS will glow red. It happened to me

Valve? i dunno, i havent had any problems with it. You told that the ACV was removed. I suspect that is why the check light is on.

Thermosensor, take off alternator take sensor out, and put new sensor in
