FDOkinawa, just post pic's of what the fire did... It was the starter or a leaking fuel line possibly from when the painter pull stuff off the fire wall to paint it.... Probably won't ever know, but I'll fix it and she'll be on the road eventually... You can scratch one brand new border racing hood, left front FRP fender, left door, left aero mirror, left side skirt, winshield, lexan left door window, tps, map, air temp sensors for the motec, the entire engine bay body and motec harnesses a couple of injectors, all the greddy guage sensors, fuel pressure reg, starter, radiator fans, altenator, brake booster and master cylinder, clutch master, clutch slave, all hoses, wiper motor, coils, plug wires and some other assorted ****... It will still go together and I should have it done in a month if all goes well... The engine bay is stripped now and will be sand blasted and resealed and then painted in a day or so and I'm trying ot sorce the sensors and connectors I need for the Motec if anyone knows of a good distributor where I can order the stuff online....

FIRE, FIRE, FIRE....

Man. Thats shitty. At least it's not a total loss.

www.motec.com. You can order parts straight from the site. Here's the addy for ordering by email:

orders@motec.com

When you order by email you have to have part numbers. I would recomend downloading the Motec Cataloge. It has all the part #'s in it. Here's the link if you want to order directly from them in the states.

Here's the email for the Japanse Motec distributor listed on the site.

avo@motec.jp

Well, of course everybody should feel bad for him. Something like this really shouldn't happen to anybody. Especially to a guy like Dragon. It was a most unfortunate accident. But as the saying goes...accidents happen.

Time for it to rise again...like the proverbial Phoenix from the ashes.

But it's a great reminder about fire safety in the garage. It could've been a LOT worse if so many fire extinguishers were not on hand. Also, always be able to pop the hood is case of fire. If you people out there don't have any fire extinguishers on hand just in case then this might be a good lesson. It can happen to any of us.
