im pretty sure the covers are on there



it looks like you mounted the lights to the car rather then the bumper, is that correct?

Just put the covers on yesterday actually.. The lights are mounted to the body. problem is that when the car burned and the left fender and hood needed to be replaced it moved things a little and now the headlights on that side sit a little lower than they are supposed to in the bumper, but I'll live with it....

them sitting back away from the bumper doesnt bother you?



is the space noticable?



why not just mount them to the bumper?



I only ask because I have hidden the lights for that bumper in a spot where I dont have to see them until it comes time to mount them, not seeing them means they wont annoy me

I don't think there is physically enough space to make them fit in between the bumper and the body unless you cut some off the bumper or cut out that part of the body and even then there is no good way to mount them to it... I would find a way to make them fit before you do the final prep work on the bumper to be safe...

Sounds good dragon. Also, for the brake booster, you shouldnt need a one way valve for this motor since its NA = it will never see positive pressure. just take the valve out, or turn it around I guess

With out the one way valve the pedal will bounce with the pulses of the intake, especially since there is no surge tank on it... but yea, I could possibly get away with not having one. I'm going to head down to the shop in a hr or so and play around with all the little **** that was bugging me last night and try to take her back out on the street for a few tonight.

You're only getting vacuum off one runner, correct? What if you brought them all together them went to the MAP sensor and brake booster? Or is that what you mean by surge tank?

IGY and I went out again tonight with some mods... Brake booster vacuum hose one way valve was in backwards... Put restrictors in the vacuum hose to the map sensor and vacuum gauge. It helped take out a lot of the pulsation and made it easier to get it to idle smoother. I heat taped up the open area around the shifter in the tranny well and heat wrapped the exhaust back to about the middle of the front seats. This cut down on the heat big time though she still gets pretty toasty in there. Pulled out the aluminum mounts on the tranny and put back in the rubber mounts and killed about 50+% of the Guru Transmission noise that was insanely loud inside the car since it was turning the floor pan in to a giant speaker. All in all it was a good day, but there is still a lot of tuning and tweaking to go before we can open it up...

too late, the bumper is sprayed

no big deal if I have to modify that area and respray the headlight area, I can just spray the whole area under the cover again no problem
