HEY THIS IS MY COSMO PROJECT THATS SLOWLY GETTING DONE BUT I AM FINDING IT HARD TO FIND A CLUCH THAT WONT SLIP OR BLOW TO BITS (AS I FOUND OUT THEY DO ON MY LAST CLUTCH) BUT IT CANT BE TO HEAVY AS I USE IT AS A DALIY DRIVER CAN ANY ONE HELP????



THE GEAR BOX IS A S5 RX7 AND I HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 EXEDY HEAVY DUTY CLUTCHES AND AN ACT SEMI RACING 5 PUCK

Its beautiful man. Just wish they brought the Cosmo to the U.S. Maby one day ill import it with help from a couple of Navy friends And have it lookin as sweet as urs....



O yea get some interior shots, plus i wanna see how the shifter looks with that manuel conversion u done.

You might need to up you clutch setup to a twin plate.. I said that you have gone through 2 exedy already..but the single setups are good to around 400 whp..which just by looking at your setup you are easly surpassing that..The Exedy twin plate is very easy to drive on...

YEA ITS NOT QUITE AT 400HP YET AS IM RUNNING VERY LOW BOOST AS I HAVENT UPGRADED THE FUEL SYSTEM YET BUT THE CLUTCHES STILL AINT HOLDING OUT WITH THE TWIN PLATE CLUTCHES I GOT TOLD THEY ARE ON OR OFF AND VERY HARD IN TRAFFIC HAVE I BEEN TOLD WRONG????

Sweet!!, I like that rx8 shift ****. How hard was the manuel conversion? Where ur located by the? UK?

IM A KIWI THE CONVERSION WAS RALITIVELY EASY ONCE I HAD FOUND ALL THE PARTS I NEEDED BUT I FOUND THE MOTOR RAN A LITTLE LEAN ON THE STANDARD COMPUTER HENCE THE MICROTECH AND AS THE DASH IS COMPLETLY RUN OFF THE ECU IT ALL NEEDED TO BE RE-WIRED SO ALL UP EASY BUT COSTLY

If you close to the 400 whp range the single plates will not last very long..The cars that I have driven with the exedy twin plates are not rotary powered but they were all high hp awd evo's and subies...the evo that has one I had NO problems what so ever driving it after 9 months in Afghanistan and not driving a single manual car in that time.. was very smooth ingagement. I will be upgrading to one for my RX project when my act goes..Also on that note my car had a custom 2400 lb pressure plate and preformance clutch..I had an easier time driving the evo with the exedy twin than I did with my clutch set up. hope that helps
