Why don't you get one yourself and find out?

Haha, I'll add that to the list of reasons to get one. The list is getting pretty long and tempting.

Question: is this for some sort of custom three or four rotor engine where you machine a regular intermediate plate to accept a stationary gear? Is that why you're curious about this subject? The HITman would know who to talk to for more info about engines like that. Jeff Bruce makes E shafts for those types of engines.
Your exactly right. Whenever i cant sleep i just theorize about all the possibilities dealing with a rotary engine and i just couldn't imagine how the extra intermediate plate in 20b was setup up or even a 4 rotor setup.

Well, others HAVE done it, so it IS possible. a real 20B would be cheaper than a three rotor 13B, but a four rotor 13B would be cheaper than an R26B.

Since I wanted to do a three rotor engine, I chose a 20B because it was the cheapest option. If I were to attempt a four rotor engine, I'd just do a four rotor 13B. The Scoot 3rd gen has a four rotor 12A in it.

Do you know why they would choose a 12a instead of a 13b?

The engine would be 40mm shorter if 12A rotors are used. They needed it to fit in an FD, so I guess that's why they chose 12A rotors.

the thick 20b plate looks like a normal center plate but its got a flange in the middle of the center hole where the stationary gear goes.
