once you figure everything out, its not hard at all. you have to relearn things, the 20b is different.

i think they are all for sale. i got mine from www.fc3s.org, but i found like 5 others (this was january), ranging from disassembled to still in japan. i bought the one i could get next week...

Hell yeah, I've been thinking about taking on a 20B conversion myself. Even though I just did the turbo conversion, my car just doesn't look the same anymore knowing there are 20B FC's out there.



I just wish I could luck upon some poor fd w/ a blown engine and dump a shitload of money into a 20B FD. Man that would be the ****! I really wanna buy a j-spec FD and smuggle it across the border from C. America or the bahamas.



How many 20B FD's are there. The only ones I can think of are the TKT's.

Yeah, That's what I keep hearing. I know the engine bay is alot smaller. I'm sure there are more issues than just that though.



I recall reading somewhere that the PFS TKT 20B FD cost around $100,000 to build, not counting the cost of the car. If its that much work for a professional rotary shop to do. It really must be tough.



But it would still be really sweet B) It's more along the lines of a fantasy car for me, rather than something I'd actually attempt.

I think that they charge about $36K for the full conversion, minus the car, but it's VERY comprehensive. You'll have a true supercar--fast AND somewhat reliable--at a good price.

check out an e-bay of an FD...if you were to add another housing...youll definitely be requiring additional space...as it is now..its quite dense

a 20b conversion will require either one of two scenarios:

.....cut into the firewall to create the space...where the compensation takes place is where im not sure...the tranny will ultimately end up further back than where it is now...this is the ideal setup as the disturbance of the weight distribution is minimal...if anything, may make it ideal..

.....or create the room via repositioning or repiping of components that are in the way ...like an ic...resulting in more weight in the front..ng

Just curious Vosko, how are you going to tackle the front sway bar and dual thermostat issues? That for me took a lot of time to get it to work out. Or are you going to use a 13B front cover? Cheaper and easier but the cooling capability scared me too much so I kept the 20B water pump.
