Hey all, Looking to get started on rebuilding a 20b cosmo engine for hybridizing with a 3gen rx7. From what I have read on this and other fourms I know that:

I need an engine management system like the HalTech e11 which was made to work with 3 rotors.

What are other engine computers that can be used? Which are the best?

Anyone got any MAPS to start me off for said engine computers?

Thanks!

Chris

j9fd3s knows about ECUs. I know about the front cap nut lol. You're going to love getting it off. It takes a 32mm socket. It's even tighter than the rear 54mm nut. Righty tighty, lefty loosy.

cool,

we are taking the engine apart now, which brings up a question. How is the support for keeping the stock twin turbos on these computers?

We just took off the exhaust header stuff. Seems like there are slight scoring on the front rotor housings and rougher stuff in the end rotor and housing. Hmm..

Thanks

I have used the stock twins with Microtech for the last 6 years. Ran with the system wide open for a while, devised a system that operated the sequential doors for a while, went back to wide open. Gives more of a slap in the back that way!

Stock twins and manifolding are VERY restrictive but I still managed 345 rwhp with 3" off the turbos and 12psi.

Going big **** single after the rebuild!
