dude i'm a newbie here and only found this forum looking for a 20B to put it on my FC, but holy **** dude your car is insane.

Can anyone list everything I need for a successful 20B into a FC swap?

Dragon can you give me an average price on a 20B in Japan, cause I have a few friends over there that can probably buy it for me.

Anyone know where I can get a 6-spd transmission for a FC with a 20B in it?

Thank you and again your car is a MONSTER dragon

ive done some research on 20b fc swap.......your gonna spend roughly 10k not to mention the labor if you dont have the tools and know how. ive seen complete cosmo front clips on ebay for like 3500.00. but remember ..they came in automatic form so youll have to get an fc tranny built beefy enough to handle the torque.

i decided against the 20b and went with the 13b RE....its sitting in my garage right now...im waiting for warm weather to start my swap...i bought my motor mounts from fc3s.org. what im gonna do i take the motor, mount it get everything situated...get it running. then im gonna pull the motor and have the irons half bridge ported. there is a local rotary shop that has been showing me how to build a motor and the ins and outs of rotaries.....he is gonna help me with the assembly of my motor.

i still havent decided on a stand alone...dragon..what do you recomend?

turbo decision is still in question too...i was thinking a t04-R or a TD-07..not sure..again....dragon...what do you think....the guy that is helping me rebuild is saying go with the t04-R..

well i wish money grew on trees cuz my swap would be in progress as we speak

dragon..doesnt Head have a 13 RE in his fc?

I'd guess maybe a grand if your lucky to get a 20B over here and it will probably need to be overhauled.. but they are very hard to find at the moment.

what you need to do the swap will depend on exactly how much hp you want and how much $ you have to spend and what you are capable of fabricating on your own. I know it is much much easier to put a 20B in a FC than it is to put one in a FD and that K2RD sells the mounts you need to just bolt the engine in etc, but you will need to list your hopes and dreams if you want a good list of what you need..

As for 6 speed trannys.. They are typically weak since they have to reduce the thickness of the gears in order to squeeze in the 6th gear set, so I wouldn't recomend using them. I think since you are in the USA a G-Force Tranny would be a much better choice and if you get with Judge Ito he should be able to help you out with getting what you need...

As far as the turbo I will need to know exactly what you want out of the engine and how you have it ported. It would also be nice to know if you plan on driving it every day and under what kinds of conditions, lots of traffic etc. In order to get somthing you'll have to sacrifice somthing else..

As for computers if you need to do it cheap then a Microtec would work well for you, but if you have the $ I would go with a TEC III. Your best bet for the computer would be however to see who can tune what around your area because you don't want to get stuck with a computer to run the car and no way of getting it tunned to run the car..

Wow Chris, I just checked this thread out. Just watched the one video.

The install really looks great! I mean everthing looks neat and tucked in, the IC welds and pipe are all nice and smooth. I am impressed.

I bet that car feels like a ******* beast now huh? Hows the handling? Any different? I mean since the engine weight is obvioulsy more now and shifted in the bay some. That really is something to be proud of,.

******* awesome man, congrats. job well done for sure

Need to work on the handling some more, but she is very capable of scaring the **** out of you or kiling you now.. , just the way I like it since fear keeps you from doing stupid things.. I'm currently making a aluminum oil pan for it that holds 8qts of oil and will allow me to raise the steering rack up anouther 1/2 or so that should help with the little bit of bump steer I still have.

If you go to www.zeroyon.com you can download the november dragrace vid and see it in a little more action..

Thanks...
