Is that $36K counting the car? 'cause that's only $4K under what Pettit Racing charges to make yours into a 3 rotor streetable F1 car...

Wait a sec., I think that black project FD was on ebay at one time.. I'm not sure if it was sold or not.. but I specifically remember it.. looks badass. Oops, now I see it's for sale now.. $39,950 and I would so buy that if I actually had the money..
I spoke to the guy who does his webpage (Derrick - he has the red 3 rotor FD in the video on alamorotary.com) at the track (I live in San Antonio).

Tito is always listing the black FD for sale, but based on what Derrick said, he isn't really too interested in selling it. By listing it on eBay, he drives a lot of traffic to his site and raises recognition that a) he knows how to do rotary engines really well, and b) if you have the cash (like Derrick) he will gladly accept $36K+ to do a first class job of putting a 20B in your existing FD.

FWIW, Derricks car is incredibly fast. He was at the track with another friend driving a standard FD - there was a 2 second time difference. IIRC, Derrick was in the low 12's, the other around 14. In any case, he was doing better than the 500HP specialty corvettes that were there.

For myself, if I were to take a nice 255hp FD @ $12-15K, and then have $36K+ for the 20B conversion, I would just buy a slightly used factory config Dodge Viper - less of a headache and it retains its value better. ...or better yet, keep the standard FD, and buy a 94-95 Viper for $36-40K and have both!

Yeah it's pretty cheap, I just heard you guys talking about them being 40,000. Then I remembered seeing one for 25,000 and found the link. Whoever gets it, will be lucky.
