Hey Chris,
What size is the inlet and outlet on that thing? Was the V-band outlet something that you requested or is mine like that also?

I am not happy with the current subframe design so I am having a new on built by a different fabricator. It fits fine, and the general craftsmanship is good, but I wanted them to use chrome alloy, lower the motor more, and more substantial bracing. If anyone wants to buy it off me or trade a stock subframe + some cash let me know. Otherwise we're hacking it up to reuse as a starting point.

Back from the dead!
Subframe
As I said above I wasn't happy with the fabrication work done by the first shop so I hired Conway Auto works to redo it before constructing my single turbo manifold. They are almost done with the subframe and I think they did a great job with it.
Before they did any work they photographed the original subframe and illustrated what they were going to change. Next they tacked it together and test fitted it in the car with the motor. My favorite part about the design is the X brace constructed around the two lumps in the oil pan. Even with the X brace the motor now sits 3/4th of an inch lower than with the previous subframe and it adds considerable lateral strength to the design They also reinforced the motor mount area by countersinking the mounting plates into the tubes and adding mounting bolt support tubes to ensure that the tension created by tightening the bolts down and the torque from the motor do not crush the tubing. Despite the additional bracing it is lighter than the other subframe because they used chromoly tubing instead of mild steel.
Next we have to send it out to be sand blasted, acid dipped, and powder coated. I am either going to go with black or color match it to the red color of the interior panels.
