This isn't my car, but I helped get it going. Heh, that's my oil filter pedestal you can see in the pics. His engine needed one and mine has a remote oil filter so we swapped a couple things (I got his intake manifolds hehe).

Enjoy.

Damn https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png where did you/your friend get that manifold? is that a carb manifold with an adapter plate to mate the SC to the manifold?

very nice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Wow, that project looks great, the only thing I would change is carb and ignition for

an ecu, throttle body, and cas sensor, but thats only my opinion. Keep us updated. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

It's an Atkins Camden Roots style manifold that has an adaptor plate machined to fit the Whipple on it. Appearantly there was some unpleasantness between the owner of the car and Mr. Atkins over that (or maybe it wasn't that specifically, but there were some words exchanged, or so I was told).

If somebody out there could start manufacturing rotary manifolds and accessory kits for the Whipple, it'd give Atkins a run for their money. Just ask Fluid Dynamics which type of SC he prefers, and why. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

I may get sound and video clips some day, but it's doubtful at the moment.

Yeah, he wanted it to be a simple setup. All he had to do to make it work was swap the in-tank fuel pump to a low pressure unit. If I did it, I'd start with a carb, and then move to EFI. My ignition would have dual leading sparks per rotor face, which no other 20B ignition system has (they're always single leading then single trailing sparks, or both L&T at the same time). Actually, I already did start with a carb, and even though it was a thrown-together induction system that didn't want to idle, my igniton system worked quite well, and it reved quick like an NA. The next step for me is EFI. I don't think the T2 Whipple car will ever get EFI unless a competent rotorhead buys it. Yes, it's for sale.

ok... so how much is he asking for it?, exterior pics?

What would be the advantage of dual leading? Is it the same as when you set your split to 0 degrees?

yeah, how much is he asking for it. thats badass!!!

Rub20B 01-04-2005 02:30 AM

Why don't you use 2 carbs?

This seems rather small to me, my dad is using the same carb on a small block 5.7L V8 in a dodge W200 army pickup...

Last I heard he was going to upgrade to an 800CFM.

I guess I could PM the guy's contact info to you guys. Does that sound like a plan?
