I know this is an old thread, but I am curious how this turned out? I am thinking of switching from EFI to an NA Carb.

I was looking into a sidedraft carb. And this looks like a good possibility.

Thanks for the update.

I went with EFI because I couldn't get the carb thing to work within my budget.

The answer would have been a dual plenum manifold.. called Lehmans type.. As seen on many boosted applications, but I think with the proper sizing of the plenums it should work for NA applications also..

That is a cool article, but I am curious, those are all Fuel Injected, what about carbed?

Shouldn't be much different..? If the there's an equal airsteam to each port.?

The mixture has to be equal in the first plenum wich shouldn't be a problem and then the second is feeded equally with this mixture so air and fuel distribution is more even..

Altough it would be nice to have a 6 barrel Holley

Would you trust the stock plenum to properly disperse fuel to each rotor (if you put a carb somewhere near the stock throttlebody)?

Middle rotor would run pretty rich in comparison to the 1st and 3rd..

One way to find out..

Unforuntately, I am not that rich... What about some type of single barrel carb (one for each rotor). All the doubles (IDA's or sidedrafts) are too big (physically). Two could fit side by side and that would be the length of the motor...
