Wouldn't moving it back mean cutting the firewall for bellhousing clearance?I think the handling would vastly improve due to the wieght being shifted to the center of the car.Instead of being front end heavy.

I started work on some sketches for the Coolers yesterday(Read, IC, and Oil Coolers)' This weekend I need to transpose my frame drawings into the cah program and start laying it all out. I am wrapping up the FRANKENTENTH PROJECT this weekend; wich gives me gobs more time

I sold the Beater Base Engine and tranny for more than I paid for the car. It gets the pineapples.
