Does anybody know the difference between the factory AC for the GSL-SE and the other models in 1984?
I know manufacturers frequently change compressor vendors; best price of the month I suppose, but is the compressor bracket on the engine the same? I am assuming the hoses, expansion valve, drier, evaporator and condenser are the same right? thanks, BTC |
The gsl se had a Lighter a/c made by a different co.(I have read).
Im not sure if IT will bolt to the bracket you have but I bet the gsl se BRACKET will bolt to your motor. |
the gsl-se has nippon denso ac and most of the rest of them have a wynns/sanden system. there are almost no compatible parts between the 2 systems. i think the compressor brackets are the same though

mike Where can I get reliable info on the factory AC systems? My Dodge Dakota manual has over 100 pages on the AC system...they aren't that different, condenser, evaporator, hi line, low line, filter/drier/accumulator, and orifice tube or expansion valve/block. What is the big secret? Thanks, BTC |

http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/1st_gen_manuals.htm See if the main connections are the same. I dont see why you couldnt do it if you really want to, you'll probably just have to change a little more of it out then you originally thought |
