So anyway sorta back to the topic, did you know if the antenna's off the focus and vw are the solid plastic style or the flexible ones?

btw I got some carbon-fibre delivered from a us company the other day. I'm gonna start making some carbon-fibre stuff. Might fix up my dash with carbon fiber.

I'm pretty sure it is flexible tho.I know the VW one is.I saw one at a wrecker before and saw how far it could bend.I think they are both similar tho.

I was just thinking that if it was like a hard piece of moulded plastic with the antenna through the middle, I might be able to carbon fibre it.

the On-Star one has a plastic base but the antenna part is hard rubber.

Hmmm, that sounds carbon-fibre-able. I might look into it in a couple of weeks when I go to weld up new metal into my roof.

Remember we need more rust pics of that roof too. Might want to put out a warning for 56K users.

Yeah, I'm going to have to get snap happy with the digi cam.

I'm going to see if I can get some replacement panels for the roof instead of trying to fix up the rusted out ones. Might have to ask Mike about what I can and can't get from Mazda.
