I guarantee it will do it, LS motors do it all day and I have a vid to prove it. And to the newb, ditch the huge ass line drawing of a sig. Thanks.

Okay, maybe I was overreacting quite a bit...Sorry about that...And come to think of it, a piston engine might work out, but I'm just not a huge fan of V8s... I DID, however, see a 3rd gen with a toyota 2JZ in there, and honestly, I wouldn't mind taking an 85 and trying to see if I can fit a 5MGE or 7MGE/GTE under the hood, but I might want to put that aside for a while...And again, sorry about all that, and I resized my sig. Happy now?

i put a v8 in my FB best thing ive ever done, and plan on doing it with my FC I have to admit I'm tempted, especiallly since I have a low mileage 86 Econoline luxury van taking up over half of my garage. It has a sweet running 302 FI in it. I have read 302 swaps actually get better mileage in some cases too. My 82 GSL is sitting in the shop, and it's already costing me $180 to check it out. That gets melted into the cost of the repair, but I may cut my losses if it gets to be over a grand. And yes I am expecting it will be. I am still iffy on the "rebuilt" carb I dropped $300 for. Hoefully it's not the problem, and just needs adjusted. Add to that all the cosmetics, bodywork, paint, $320 in tires, the hassle I went through doing the brakes, tuning, more tuning, and still more tuning that did nothing, and I can understand why people do it.,,,,BB |
