where is everyone????? we need to get this first gen thing going.

Denny 08-04-2001 07:26 PM

Awww, Cheeez...

Hope that's not your ride, Buckaroo...It's just too darned good lookin', and somewhere between wild and crazy!

Here at the 'ol corncrib we've got four Sevens. Three 1st gens, and one 2nd gen. Right now I'm tryin' to solve a problem on my '85 SE in that it feels as if there's no power booster, and the stopping isn't the best.

Okay, okay, I know...Brakes are for sissy's....Just hit the horn and smack the gas...

Anyway, replaced the booster, master cylinder, checked the hoses, and replaced the right front brake rotor. I'll tackle the left front rotor next....

Also just arrived, an aluminum bi-wing with 10 inch risers. with some cutting, drilling, and general garage time I'll have it mounted soon....Then back to the front suspenision, but I've got the parts for that project too.

Just a tip of the 'ol Stetson,

ported12a 08-06-2001 10:30 PM

speedfreak 08-07-2001 12:59 AM

Hey ported, just use brackets [img] and finish it with a with [/image] Html is off on this forum, but the ikon code is easier anyways.

Make sure to read the help file. It will tell you how to select avatars, use pm, and images.

Click help, then view Ikon tags........

Viperx7 08-11-2001 08:30 AM

Are we the only ones here?

Thanks for the help Speedfreak.

I'm in love again....Viperx7, she's just a peach! Absolutely lovely. And that paint, it's a knockout!

Respectfully tippin' the 'ol Stetson,

Denny, from the abandoned corncrib...

 Hey everyone whats up? New member to the growing family. Big 1st gen fan here from Queens NY. I have a white 85 GSL stock just took off the emissions for now. I have 146500 miles still going strong! Thinking of putting new engine soon obviously. Great to be part of this family.

rohlfr 12-07-2001 09:49 PM

I am a proud owner of a first gen car. INFACT, I think I qualify as a trully dedicated owner, I have 157K on my car, YET, I am just about to go on engine #5. I only blew one engine, the engine that I bought from a junkyard. Otherwise, rebuilt 3 and had the orginal engine till it hit 110k. Did I mention the hail damage and deer damage didn't stop me?

I drive my car insanily hard. The orginal engine was very close to breaking a apex seal, they were VERY thin. Too much sustained high speed drives I guess, he he. The first two rebuilds were good, first bone stock rebuild, next mildport rebuild, AND now as of 12/7/01 I am building a bridgeport 12A! I have been planning this engine for 1year and 2months and now its almost a reality. Sucks that I was in college and couldn't justify buying parts when I had other bills.

Modd's

Headers, Mikuni intake, E-85 compatible, underdrive pulley, strut tower brace, other stuff, and of course SOON with in days BRIDGEPORT...YEAH!! I'll have more pic's but check out the webpage look under rotary stuff. Be sure to read all of the rotary page. Stock power peak6,000, mildport peak 7,300, bridgeports peak behond 8,000!

Wooffinn 12-27-2001 06:25 AM

Hi all. Hey aren't the first Rx7's the best anyhow?? I'm from downunder where my Rx7 is a series one-1979. The series two was around mid 1981 and the series three was late 1983 on. In US model terms was the 'first generations' all of the early body shapes?? Any help from my fellow US rotor people would be great.

f1ernie 03-17-2002 09:07 AM

Hi All, Just surfin' on a Sunday morn.I am also a proud owner of a 1st.gen RX7"83".I inheritated from a friend for $50. He unfortunately was getting to old to drive & he knew how much I admirred this little beauty. It has EVERY option on it that was available at the time. When I got it 2 yrs ago it had 86thou.k. miles & needed attention. It's now my pride & joy.I put it away every Oct.-April.so the salt from the roads(Canada) don't eat it apartI've done a few mods,header,free-flow exhaust,k&n air cleaner, new rotors(all around)I change the oil every 2,000 k.I've got some nice plans this year & hopefully,I'll post a photo later on.Eventually,a 13b motor,etc,etc...This is a GREAT site & I log on every day.Keep up the GREAT work...

Any ways, i dont use mazspeed's forum, because they are hard to use, (user unfriendly, the layout https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR ) I use www.rx7forum.com 's forum every day, but lately, EVERTHING YOU DO, YOU GET THIS "SERVER BUSY" CRAP!!!!
