When Looking For An Fb
Is there anything that's vital or suggested for the car to have while I'm looking for an FB?
My plans are to do a TurboII swap or possibly the 13b-re TT.
I think this is a cheaper option for me currenty than looking for an FD. Plus, I'm looking forward to working on a car.

There are two in my area-- an '84 and an '85. I plan on seeing both of them this weekend.
Would it be a better idea to try to find a TII engine, or just to buy a rebuilt one from Atkins or the like?

I went the half-cut option because it was a hellava lot cheaper than getting a rebuilt motor.
THe only prob with that is you don't know the history of it. It could last you a week or 10 years.
Just remember to test the compression and make sure you know exactly what you need and what your getting before you buy. Else you'll be spending your life at wreckers yards looking for a piece of wiring loom or something.

Are there any places you (or anyone else) recommend buying used engines from?
*edit* I just saw you're from Australia. I doubt you'll have any good recommendations for someone in the states, but what the hell!
