I'm shopping for wheels for the GSL-SE and I want to make sure that I get the "right" ones. The style I'm looking at is a thin, five spoked 16inch wheel in silver/aluminum not chrome. The benchmark at this point is this Enkei RS5.

After the general style, my major concern is weight and strength. The RS5 is around 17lbs per wheel. Does anyone know of any similarly styled wheels that are lighter/stronger...or any websites that have that info for wheels? Since the car is still NA, I'm pretty insane about weight reduction...

"stronger" is pretty hard for us peasants to prove, but here's a couple other possibles for you.

Kosei K1 Probably THE most popular wheel for budget conscious autocrossers.

SSR Competition for the not-so-budget conscious.

5Zigen FN01R is crazy light

There's lots out there.

I like those 5Zigens, but they only come in black or white!

There's another model that comes in silver (the -C), but not in my lug pattern in 16!!! RRRR!

Yeah, I think I'm gonna just sandblast... I'm officially settled on the 5Zigens. I saw them in person at a show this weekend, both on cars and off and they look sick. Picked one up and it is sooooo light! Thanks all!

FYI...the 5Zigen FN01Rs which look almost exactly the same as the Enkei RS5's are a little over 2 lbs lighter!!! (15lbs and change vs 17.5 or so) Thats saving almost 10lbs!!! In case you haven't figured it out I am the weight **** with my car....no boost = needs to be light!

Then make sure you don't buy Falken Azenis for them, they weigh a ton. I think when they hear "steel belted" they think it means "steel plated".

My buddies Paseo wheel/tire combination weighs more than my FD wheel/tire with Bridgestone S-03.
