Whats the temps like? Do you have an e-fan blowing air through the radiator?

Drifter:

As I stated in the description, I am running dual 10" e-fans that push about 2100 cfm through the radiator fins. The blower produces tons of heat. I run a hollowed out t-stat (just the housing to slow the flow a little). I use a mix of about 60% water to 40% antifreeze, with some Redline Water Wetter to assist in the cooling. Current temp is stabilizing around 180-190 degrees, still a little warm for my liking. I like to see it around 160. My dilemma is with the nitrous. If I install it, I will not be able to close my hood with a filter element in place. The Hitman system is a 1" plate system that goes underneath the carb and it will push everything too high. I have a nice polished aluminum dragster scoop that I can install if I install the nitrous, but it will require cutting a large hole in my hood. Of course that will help keep the engine compartment cooler, but I lose what little sleeper effect I have left if I go that route. Cooling is definitely an issue with the blower that I must address further.

DFreak:

No #s yet. I thought I was going to have some this past weekend until the new 13B I just built ran dry with the Holley 600 I had on it and the #1 trailing plug exploded inside and took out a couple of apex seals. Friday night, instead of going to the track with it, I spent a few hours pulling the 13B. Saturday morning was spent with a rebuild to correct the apex seals and rework the Holley 770 for the install. Just had a chance yesterday to finally slap the 13B back in there and I am going to try to tweak the carb more and dial the timing in and may make a run to the 1/4 mile track Friday night. As soon as I have the #s I will post. The car ran a best of 12.9 at 99 mph with a fuel problem (the car ran out of fuel in the middle of 3rd gear) and coasting the last half of the track. All that was with a bad port job on the first 13B I had in there. I hope I get on into the 11s. I have a friend of mine that built a turbo 13B that was very similar in my power and he turned 11.20's all day. I can only hope for now. But, as I said before, I will post #s when I have them.
