i've had my cd player in my 85 gs for a couple months now, and i was proud as hell at my install...unfortunatley it's all for nothing now.

i woke up this morning and walked out the door to go to school, and lo and behold my passenger door was open and the window was shattered, some dipshit had decided to gain entry to my 7 and ransack it. Fortunatley my amp and subs were NOT yet installed, but my cd player was not slid, not pried, but RIPPED out of my dash, the console is FUBAR every piece of plastic is shattered and guess what else, my cd case with all 45 cd's is MIA. I've already bought a new window and am putting it in tomorrow, and there are some beat-to-hell 7's around here to pull the dash panel off of, but that doesn't ease my feeling of violation...pray for that bastard that did this!

I know that feeling I bought my car with a alpine deck in it and 3 days later go out too it and find it missing.Luckily they just cut the wires and ran with it and never messed it up.That sux man.Good luck.I hope insurance replaces it.

When my friend had his complete system ripped out, they CUT everything, including the antenna cable and RCA cables. Amatuers. Made it a bitch to replace. Can all those would-be car stereo thieves please take the time to just pull out the cables off the connecters. Actually take a lot of time, so I can wake up and hear you doing it, come out with a golf club and smack you round the head.

Whoops, got a bit carried away there.

all you need is that center panel, thats not too bad in the scheme of things. way back in 99 someone broke into a new miata that was in for an oil change, and they took a crow bar to the dash. it was totally destroyed, and they left the radio

I've a few stereo brackets left - it bolts in the stereo from the sides, then bolts into the dash so thievs need tools and a few minutes, not seconds, to get the deck out.
