Whoops, forgot to add, you can have my old fuel pump too, I won't be needing it at the moment.

you will be pissed when the time comes TO needing it though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Well, I'll need to upgrade my pump and buy an extra one when I get my surge tank set up for the 13BT, so I'm pretty sure I wont be needing it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

the stock GSL-SE tank has an awsome baffling in it, no need for a surge tank. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

I agree about the baffling. I pulled out my tank a few weeks ago to rust-proof it. From what I've read it was made like this and with bigger fuel lines to handle the jap 12AT's.

Still, I still wouldn't mind a surge tank set up, its not too pricey. I'm thinking better safe than surgey. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Well then just "fuel cell" it and have done with it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

4 pumps, 3 different feeds to the surge tank, tons of fuel sideways!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

I thought that you needed the surge tank because the pressure of fuel is to low because its coming from a big tank and that you use the smaller surge tank to have the higher pressure fuel go to the engine, with the big tank and return line topping off the smaller tank. Is that right??

So with the s3(sorry, thats aussie for GSLSE) tank, the tank baffles and fuel lines are big enough to keep the engine surge free??

the reason for the extra tank is kinda like the reason for a "dry sump" oiling system.

several different pickup points from the main source feeding into a small tank. then

using the small tank (never runs out) to feed the motor through yet another pump.

that way, if under hard cornering at least 1 feeder pump is supplying the small tank.

just sitting, running, then all feeders are going and you have an overflow from the top

back to the main tank.

Yeah, thats what I figured, but are you saying that I don't need this kind of set up with the SE tank?
