I want to put a stage two clutch on my Turbo II, and lighten the flywheel. Would it be better to have the stock flywheel lightened or should I try and find a performance one? if the stock flywheel is lightened what would be some of the cons?

I am not aware of any reliable method to lighten the stock flywheel, lightened flywheels are usually made of lighterweight, but more expensive materials.

There are a lot places to look, start with the sponsors here, nopistons store carry's unorthodox flywheels and there are probably a few others on the market.

yeah it's an 84 gsl-se with a turbo II swap. and I just found out that it has an 86 na tranny. I'm still trying to figure out which clutch to go with. I was thinking of a cenerforce two, because I could get one of those for 250$ clutch and pressure plate. but a friend of mine suggested going with a sprung six puck clutch. if I go six puck.. I can eather get a racing beat unsprung six puck clutch for 107$ or theres an auction on ebay for this one -http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33730&item=24 23436500-----

what would be best for my application?

whast wrong with stock replacement? I'm sure that if you compared a brand new stock replace ment to a brand new oem upgrade you would notice MINIMAL difference.

Ppl forget that these are performance cars off the lot, and it doesnt always need an upgrade when a stock part will do.

flywheel- i'd go lightweight. clutch- stock (thats what i'm doing, the clutch that is. flywheel is still fine)/
