well i took the carb back apart thinking i may have missed something. on the floats, there are two arms which the pin runs through to hold it in place. one of the floats the arms are bent to the side. would that maybe be an issue? oh and finally someone knows what im going through.

My '83's carb was rebuilt when I bought the car and never gave me any problems. Those Nikki's are good but sounds like you guy have a pair of '83 lemons.

Yeah, I hope it is just the carb and that rebuilding it fixes it for you. Theres nothing worse than spending ages on dead ends. You fel like your running around in circles for nothing.

I got a question.....when you take off the upper part of the carb, and you have the floats attached, are they supposed to be even...i mean, the same amount of movement in each float. One has the amount you would assume would be right, i do, and the second has virtually no movement. I mean VERY little. So i guess what i am asking is, are the two floats supposed to have the same amount of movement, the same range of play?
