It can be done, all you have to do is strip the interior down to only what you need and the big sections like the dash can be made from alloy sheeting

just out of curiosity. u have no money for a street port, but how ya gonna pay fpr all that fiberglass?
on the other hand a fiberglass dash would totally rock...
also check for local laws, if u care, cause lexan windows might be illegal for on road use.

well i did some stripping today and there is a pile of interior parts that is about 3 feet tall and about five feet around(thats with the seets).. but i need to go get it weighed to see where i stand, i think i have taken close to 300 pounds already..

??? a hood will take more than a gallon of resin! holy ****... ok maybe it will take a little more than expected but i still think that it will turn out to be cheaper than a street port...street port =$1500(or around there) about 200 dollors of fiberglass and resin, i think it is cheaper ...but it may not be easier.

when i got my car, it had been weighed at 2200 lbs. (but it had some stuff gone already) - that's including this cheesy POS wing and a targa top, among other extraneous BS. so i think im still under 2300 w/ me in it since i weigh 135 and ive taken all that "decorative" crap and all the a/c components out. the little bit of money that ill get after reviving the beast will go toward lightening the drivetrain (driveshaft, flywheel, etc.). i think 1500 lbs is very possible as long as you're willing to live w/o a lot of luxuries (your stereo better be a simple setup).
