my tach is not working and hasn't been working sense I bought the car. I replace the coils but still no tach. any suggestions? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

only the tach isnt working>?

yes it's just the tach. I've taken the gauge cluster out an looked at the connectors and everything looked fine.

maybe the tach is actually broken. give me a min, ill pull out the fsm.

the fsm says this:

METER fuse: probably not that bc the other gauges are working

Faulty Tachometer, check or replace. Page 18 here.

Faulty wiring, repair as necesary. Page 21 here.

is the trailing ignition working? the tach runs off of the trailing ignitor

Is this why your car can run fine with the tach dead, because your trailing is broken? And leading is all that is needed to run?

if you replaced the coils then its not that.



just buy a new cluster on ebay for 20 dollars. a small penny to see if thats it. rather then spending money on more stuff.

Wow I fixed this a long time ago. The problem was the Ignition module on the side of the dizzy.
