will a t2 trans bolt up to a 12a if so whats needed?

 

Short answer not easily, you could put a a s4 s5 na tranny in there, but the bellhousing and flywheel are larger on the t2 tranny, also the start is further out on the bellhousing IIRC.

 

yeah you need a t2 sized aftermarket flywheel, clutch, starter. then you get to custom fab a trans mount, and driveshaft.

TII trans, starter, u can use 12a flywheel pressure plate you need to modify the bell housing. I have a TII trans mounted to a 12a in a 79 glc. it works

 

yes is plausible , i have a 12a clutch disc with t2 center big splines ill sell if u need it also a red presure plate its on good condition i had in my car for about 1month before i blew the motor then swat the t2 motor

 

modify bellhouse or use bellhouse from RX-4. BTW I have one for sale lemme know if ur interested.

 

12A tranny holds up fine as long as you dont abuse the **** out of it.
