i was planning on eventually supercharging mine too. probably atkins style. two questions though, where can i get a larger than stock fuel pump? and does it have to have an intercooler?

Walbro makes good stuff but if you go atkins/camden SC and use the Holley avenger carb set up you need less psi from the fuel pump and high volume.

You would not HAVE to run an IC. But you still get 1% HP for every 10-11 degrees you can drop your intake temperature.

i just looked at the holley avenger real fast and it says it has an electric choke, that will get rid of the badly working knob sticking out of my dash?

I like my knob. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

Atkins may be done testing their FC fuel injected supercharger project by now. It's similar to your GSL-SE EGI job. Give 'em a call.

No one is paying me for my endorsement of my dash knob. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

If you guys really want the "power down low", and don't care about the "high" end (like a supercharger).

Then get a small Turbo. It will spool up almost instantly, have No parasitic drag, and perform better across the board.

Have any of you guys driven/ridden in a stock twin Turbo RX-7? Why do you think they are so responsive (i.e. Instant Boost)?

Small Turbo's that spool up instantly. Why do the Big Power RX-7's have more Turbo Lag?

Big Turbos that take a little more effort to get them spinning.

Even a DRAW-THROUGH Turbo design would perform better on a Rotary

than some non-intercooled, Roots type, Supercharger.

What about the cost? Also, what types of carbs can you use? Last question; can I run a half bridgeport engine? Please say yes to the last question. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I'm going to start porting my 13B today. I need an answer soon.

To half bridgeport or not to? So far, I'm thinking no bridgeport this time. It's for an REPU so it needs good low RPM power.

If I just do a mild port it'll be ok NA or with a supercharger. If I do a half bridgeport, it'll be pretty good NA from mid to high RPM. However, SC and low RPM may not be as good. Not the best combo for a truck.

Blah! I'm calling Atkins! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Ok they don't recommend bridgeporting and their superchargers. I'm going to call a little later when Dave gets back.

Did they say why?
