Stock Se Oil Cooler....

I have just finished polishing my oil cooler. When mounted it looks like an FMIC.



here is an old picture of it shined up a bit (before propper polishing):

these are older pictures, i dont have access to the car or camera right now. so i cant take pics of the tabs w/ everything removed. but that should give you a general idea.

Thanks Geoff.I hope to be able to pull the S4 cooler out tommorow and put the FB one in it.I still have to make some gaskets for my weber setup for the 83 tommorow too.

Its not those two tabs that bend to a 90 degree is it?How do the stock cooler mounts bolt to it?

I would like to know how the SE oil cooler bolts to those brackets too. Are the rubber mounts already on the car (85 GS?) or what? If not, I think I'm outta luck, cause I don't have those rubber pieces.

I have the rubber mounts on the cooler but they don't seem to line up anywhere to bolt it too on the front of the car.Just my luck.

The -SE didn't come out till '84, so does enybody know if the '83 even had the mounting tabs? He may not have the stock mounting points on his chassis.

my 83 doesnt have the brackets. i was thinking it might because they had a 12a turbo in 83, and they used the gsl-se cooler on that (most likely)

hmmm. well the tabs should be RIGHT there. i mean, i can identify them instantly in my car. tell you what, take a picture of your front air dam area, like the 1st one i posted, only with more light. ill tell you if you have them.
