Hey guys, I'm back. and I have a 1st gen in my sights. Free of charge. The guy is a friend of mine from school, and he wants me and Gregg to help him fix his 7 and he will give us his spare, for FREE!! It is pretty rough but if you guys ever saw my silver one this one is about that bad. I will get plenty of pictures on this project. But anyway my question is that this 7 has a bad starter. I have a starter from my 2nd gen experiences. But will a s4 13B NA starter, bolt up to an 84-85 12A? Thanks guys,

I don't know about the 12A, but the starter for the FC's works on the GSL-SE. I'd just try it...won't hurt anything if it doesn't work.

 

I dont think it will work. I couldn't even fit a starter from an 81 onto my 80 belive it or not. I was choked. You can try, but keep in mind, if they have a different starter for automatic and manual, Be dead certain they have a different starter for an fb and an fc.
