anybody ever seen a short throw shift kit for gen 1?

i have not been able to find such a thing...

i have heard rumor of people using a miati shift kit.

would this work?

i wish the sa22 was supported more...

I HIGHLY recommend Rotary Shack. I putchased and installed one in my FB and like the feel alot. They have them for SA and FC as well. As for Miata in an SA, I do not know, but DO know they can be used in an FB because I have a friend who installed on in one of his 1st gens (he has several LOL)

 

the short shifers are interchangeable from 81 to 92. the early shifters, 70-80 interchangeable as well

I used a Miata short shifter. Bought it on ebay and it bolted up pretty close. The only thing I had to do was lessen the diameter on the bushing. I just sanded it down a little and it was all set and good. Works wonderfully and it was like $20-30 delivered.
