I noticed this earlier. The guy is obviously running a stand alone setup but how is it that hes running a regular set of coils and dizzy from a earlier rotary on his T2 and still keeping it injected?Thats a clean install on that RX3.

Simple, There are two possible reasons.
1) He is using the stock ECU (before the TII) as he stated. The early FC's used Distributor coils. In the US we only got the Crank angle Sensor models. or 2) He is using a fuel only ECU, and is running a distributor. Very common as well. |

Its one of the early FC engines. (s4)
He's got one of the original Microtech ECU's. Unfortunately he doesn't know anything about the engine at all, all the engine work was done by a rotory workshop. |
the halteck e6k instructions have a diagram for the stock dizzys too, although ive never seen anyone do that

Bet it costs an arm and a leg though. there is some mad **** coming out now. Like adjustments every 500rpm or less now. Programmable stuff too. its a cool age we live in. Just think, our kids are prolly gonna be driving electric cars. They will never have the satisfaction of driving/tuning a rotary. |
