Rx7 Knocking?
#1
I cant figure out why my rx7 is knocking.. started in 5th when downshifted it was still there but quieter.. could be the change in speed though?
put in new clutch kit and resurfaced flywheel four months ago..
when clutch is in no sound at all but as soon as you take your foot off it starts knocking.. it now knocks in 1st gear so bad I havent dared but it higher cause it only gets worse.
any fedback would be great, thanks!

well thats just it took it to a mechanic and he says the clutch is fine a its the tranny but this other mechanic says the exact opposite.. "Ive been rebuilding trannys for 30 years, they dont go bad, its the clutch cause you dont know how to drive" he said.
well.. I dont know who to believe the egotistical *** that wont even listen to the car cause he knows hes right or the guy who dropped my tranny and is looking at the car (but less experienced)!?!
Thats why Im here... cause either way Im going to get people who at the very least know their cars and since I have the same one..
all help is appriciated!

When you push the clutch in, your transmission and transmission bearings are not
rotating. When you let the clutch out, they rotate. Therefore, when you have a noise
that goes away when you push in your clutch, it is most likely the transmission.
Run away from this guy. If trannys don't go bad, why would he ever have to rebuild one?
