Cut the rust out from behind my rear wheels on the '79 today, replaced it with some *thank god* new metal. All is good, now i have some dodgy bog work to do now.. *shhh* Then I sell it, then I buy myself a smick '84/'85. Ask drifter about my rust problem it's bad.. :P I will hopefully soon have some pictures for you all aswell..

haha.. shhh... your not suppose to publicly announce that type of thing.

I'm currently in the process of taking my angle grinder to by roof and boot and engine bay area in an attempt to remove the rusty metal, so that next week I can weld it all up with some new metal.

Yeah, I got a quote for some sheetmetal yesterday from a scrap yard, AUS$18 for 1.2m X 2.4m X 1mm thick. SHould be perfect for my boot and roof. Its really worrying taking a cutting disc on an angle grinder to your roof. I have to keep reassuring myself that its ok, and that it will all be better in the long run.

No no, The bits of roof around the sunroof are full of rust, so I have to replace the surround metal.
