the owner of the SA my best friend is buying from replaced the cat to pass emmisions a couple days ago, now the car runs super rich, really hot, and it smokes. do u guys think it could be the new cat?

Did you connect the smog pump?

 

Unless the smoke is heavy, it may be the Anti-moisture/Rust Protectant burning off. They put it on some gavanized steel products like mufflers and CATS to deal with the "Way Too High Air Conditioning" in your local autoparts stores so they dont have to pull out a half rusted muffler in front of theyre customers......remember those days.

It took a couple of days for mine to burn off.

 

As for running hot. How much hotter is it running.

Did you remove any heat shielding?

You dont have a sig or a homepage so I cant tell what mods you do or dont have.

That would help anyone here giving you a diagnosis on your problem.

 

we took the car to mazdatrix to get an analysis, it ended to be dead, so does anybody have ahook up on 12a's??
