anyone do this in a '79? I have to take the airpump out this weekend to get better acces to the OMP. I really don't want to put the airpump back. Since the thermal reactor is not like a cat inside I don't see why I would need it. I'm not worried about emissions, and I'm upgrading to an electric fan, so I'm not concerened about having just 1 belt on the water pump.

So any feedback??

what happened to leaving the car alone? who knows i haven't seen a reactor in years. if you wanna be safe put an 81-85 manifold on it.

If you pull the pump your car will prolly backfire without it.You might want to put a header on to reduce the chances of backfire everytime you shutit off.
