Too much Red. Should've started with some key red parts. Not everything, which will peel in the near future.

Show the rest of the car.

Oh and about the peeling aspect. If you do it right it wouln't peel. painted many a dash before and none have just peeled. BUt we will see. I never saw a first gen with a painted and well done interior. I am just trying what no one that I have seen has done. But probably has but I've just never saw it. Oh and the rest of my car.

hey thanx for the compliment. I disassembled everything but the main dash and taped off everything and painted it in the car. I didn't feel like pulling everything out and painting it even though it would've been better.

The big part for something like that is the primer and the prep for it. I used a metal primer, or sanding primer so it filled in the creases in the dash so it would looks smoother. Then I used just general all purpose paint.

I am pulling the vents and putting them back to black and the handle for the glove box. BUt you should see it with the seats in.. THey are black with the middle part being red viynl.

It should be real sweet when done. Oh also the back is painted red to and it turned out like glass. I wet sanded it and it took a good month to get it all done.

You got me motivated to finish doing my interior. I'm doing a three tone black/grey/silver.

I have silver face gauges, silver speaker covers, i'm going to paint the center console silver, and have a silver shift ****/ steering wheel. (it will be black and silver actually).

Then i'm going to paint the bottom half of my dash black, the rest is all grey, and get black CORBEAU racing seats. Yay.

~Geoff

PS i'll post pics when i'm done painting.
