Hi,

I have a question. My rear-end is making some more really weird noses, so I am thinking about replacing it. I have a 85 GS and am thinking about doing a disc conversion from a GSL. What parts do I need to do this besides the rear end - ie. brake lines, master cylinder, etc. Also, doue anyone have a how to on how to do this? Pictures would help. Any help you could give would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

One more thing. I just bought a new driveshaft, so I need to know what rear end(s) would work with it. It is a 1985 12a 5-speed.

Thanks,

Chris

you need the complete rear axle, disc to disc, and the parking brake cables. your drive shaft will fit any 83-85 manual trans car.

Some say you'll need a brake balancer, or proportioning valve. but i have had no problems with stopping.

you'll like the FEEL when you get done,,,of rear disk's. just make sure the GSL rearend is in better shape

then your GS,IE,,,,bearings, and ring and pinion play.. no GSL-SE stuff. You'll also need to fill the rearend with limited slip oil/fluid.
