Rear End
Which rear-end is the best bang for the buck?
Should I try to locate a posi from a GSL or something?
Also, what are the differences between a Posi and other LSDs?
Sorry for whoring now. I need to learn lots of stuff.

seems like the better rear ends were on the gsl-se models...but I'm not sure...havn't done too much research into it...but I bet if you search thru the forum you might find something...
But something i did read that was rather interesting...is that with slight modification the rear end from a 94 and up miata "R" or "Touring Package" will fit...and it uses a "Torsen Differential"...which i've read in most cases does a 5 to 1 torque conversion if you have a tire off the ground...same junk that they use in the humvees...so it might be worth checking out...and if you got lucky it probably wouldn't cost much more than a stock rx-7 rear...coming from a junk yard that is
But i'm not really sure of the gains from something like that...if there are any...just another thing to put on your list of ideas :P

they all have the same 7" ring gear, and they all interchange the differential cases. the other mazdas that use the same diff are 84-85 rx-7's (79-83 have smaller axles, but the diff spider gears can usually be swapped), 86-91 na fc (these have a different pinion), 94+ miata, 87-93 b2600 4wd truck FRONT, prolly 86-93 b2000/b2200 rear, and the FRONT 4wd kia sportage 95-97?
So MazdaTrix no longer carries OEM FB differentials. I was unable to find anything on the Parts Trader as far as Miata diffs or FB diffs. The only thing MazdaTrix carries are the torsen units which are $825.95!
Any ideas?
