RB Holley
#1
With the engine at temp I can set the idle @ 900rpm. I drive the car the Idle holds at 1500, like the choke is engaged. The accelerator cable is not binding. The racing beat holley has an auto choke, since the temps are in the 50s, could this be the cause? If so what is the cure?
I have been running a Side draft for years on the 12 a and did not have a choke. This 13b 4 port is fresh and first time I have run a holley with an auto choke. I need to find the install directions and re read them.

well with the choke on those you can adjust them. get the car to operating tem ps. then pop the air cover and see if your choke plates are straight up. if they are, theres something else up. if not, on the front car part of the carb is the choke assembly. i believe there are 3 screws that hold it in posision. slightly loosen them to move the black assembly. and adjust from there until they are straight up and down. then see how it works. don't go too far cause they might not close when cold then.
on a side note, my holley seems to idle great at 1300-1500 rpms. and i love it.
