If its just a thermostat just seal it with RTV sealant. It works good on my car. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I don't think on the gasket it really matters too much which way it goes on tho.

how long does the rtv have to sit before i can fire it up

There's heaps of gasket silicones on the market now, for all those cars who have hard-to-get gaskets and that. They work just as good. I think most of them have to cure for 24hours or something. It depends on the one you get, its says on the packet. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

the install order is thermostat, gasket, then outlet.
be sure to clean the groove that the thermostat sits in as well so it doesn't get in the way when you are putting things together. I purchased a gasket that was silicone on both sides of a thin metal piece. I got it at Kragen (Checker, Shucks, Kragen are all the same) here is a page showing what I mean: http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDetails.as...=0&SpecialType= sorry for the length of the link. |
thsnk you for the help i used the rtv sealent and i looked on the package this morn to see how long to ler it sit 24 hrs i ler it sit 6 but it held
