also clean out the fuel strainer, its basically in the fuel pump inlet hose.

if that and the injectors dont fix it we get to move onto checking the afm voltage

Put a gauge on the fuel pressure line. Sounds like your fuel pressure is droping.

I still think it's ignition. Try swapping the coils for a few minutes, and see if it persists the same.

I did do that, and it behaved exactly the same.

I plan to clean taht strainer today and put it all back together. I don't want to send the injectors out if I don't have to, and it's no big deal to take the UIM back off and pull them out. So we'll see.

Well, me and rxmfn7 got to work on it again today, and I took out the fuel strainer, and sure enough, it was actually full to the top with dirty. I emptied it, put it back together, started the car. I noticed immediately that I could no longer hear the fuel pump like before. So I said jump in and went out for a ride. I got to run the car out to about 70mph before i ran out of road room. The car barked 2nd, and 3rd gear shifts, ran awesome. I was very pleased. However, we got back, and he wanted to drive it, so I let him take it around back, and he got on it a bit, and it did the same thing as before, and I could hear the pump again. So I think that the strainer is clogged yet again, due to a lot of dirt in the tank. I just added gas to it before we did this, and I think it was all stirred up.

I want to drop the tank and clean it out. Anyone know a good way to do this, and what you use to clean it? I don't want to take the strainer out and clean it a hundred times to get rid of all the dirt in there. But I think we found the problem, and i won't be sending my injectors out for cleaning.
