i bought a racingbeat header and side draft intake with webber carb from pick-and-pull for $70. what do i need to up grade my distributor from points to electrical? i see all these trick mallory set up but i need some one to help me break it down so i can recreate that and know what it is. thank you and please forgive me for my ignorance.

easiest way is to grab the distributor from an 81-85 car. if you look in the 81-85 fsm, its like 3 wires to hook it up

wires and electricity scare the hell outta me. so theres no big complicated box that accompanys that hidding somewhere behind the fire wall?

nope, 81-85 have everything mounted on the distributor. its an easy hookup, 3 power wires, and the 2 signal wires

Yeah I swapped to the electrical disty in my '80. A few wires and it's all cake. Get the wiring diagrams and it's pretty much all laid out.



If yours is a '79, you WILL NEED new coils. The '79 coils are 9v coils. Just grab some Blasters or something from AutoPwn.
