try leaning out the idle mixture

I need a new fuel filter for the carb anyways so I will order one tommorow.Anyone know what pressure a weber 45 needs to run it right?I am using my stock 83 pump and as soon as I put the fuel pump fuse in not even 12 seconds later it'll flood. This is nuts. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

I have read that it is about 4.5 PSI or at least thats what I read somewhere.

But it would be best to run a variable pressure regulator that increases pressure while the engine is under load. This will remedy the fuel starvation problem inherent with this type of carb.

have you checked the needle&seat.my weber will ocasionally flood.with a ctock fuel pump, you shouldn't have any fuel issues intil you are under load .the stock fuel pumps where barely adequate for stock carbs.but i'll bet your needle&seat are sticking.let me know ifthat's the cure.
