cant get the damn distributor off the motor?



never taken one off a 1st gen. i thought you just take out the one 10mm bolt and pull it out...???



how the hell does this thing come out? or is mine realllly stuck?

found the manual...it does just pull out, why would one stick?

It shouldn't...



If nothing is in the way... it should just pop out (after you remove the 10mm nut and wires).

yeah...i finally got it out.



i broke a pretty thick flat head prying on it. and a lot of wacks with a hammer it came out.

alright...no spark now. The distributor wasnt wired up to the coils so i took a guess at it from memory. Havnt worked to much with 1st gens though.



I wired them up like this...





there were some wires originally going to the coils, not sure how they went, coming form the main harness. are they needed for the car to turn on? or are they just for gauges and other things?

I just went outside and looked at mine, drew a nice diagram then took a picture of the drawing for you.

but, i was looking for the wires going from the Pos. and Neg. from the coils to the ditributor. you know what i mean?
