I thought you had a haynes manual for it.The 83's wiring is covered fairly well in it.Is that starter good or was it the wiring as well?I know your pain.I had so many problems at first to.But now its reliable and purrs.I wish the same to you.Good luck

i do have the manual, but im looking at like 5 black wires with a white stripe, i know i have to hook up the air vent selenoid to a black wire with a white stripe, so im just wondering which one i have to hook it up to...cause imseeing a few options, hell does it matter, cause isnt it just going to the ignition switch? if all of the black wires with white stripes go to the ignition, does it matter?

well i thought i had it right, but now i dont think the cars holding a charge. i jumped it and ran it for like 15 minutes, and cut it off. then 5 minutes tried to crank it again, no luck, battery died. plus the voltage was reading like 10 or so.....coulda sworn i had the alt wire hooked up right. now i had my hand down by the oil cooler, its not front mounted, and accidentally pulled of the oil pressure wire. but i told a friend and he knows exactly where it goes, so im not worried about that. what i am worried about is when i cranked it, all the lights were on, like the exhaust light, the headlight light, brake light, all of them.....why...what the ****?!
