just bought an 83 RX7 w/12a engine and 93K miles on it. would like to know what upgrades if any can i make to this car .and also what is the difference in horsepower in a 12a and 13b engine . thanks for any information i can get and looking forward to any future help

the 12A has 100-105 HP @6000 stock I think the 13B has 137 HP stock... A good exhaust system and intake system can add like 20 hp on the 12A...
I think the best (and cheapest ) way to make it go faster, stop faster and corner better is to rip out all the unneeded crap from it.. the lighter the car the faster the car....

good exhaust and a little tuning (dial in the timing and fuel) will get you about 115-125 at the wheels, if the engine is tight.
the 13b's are 135hp in 84-85, 146hp in 86-88, 160 in 89-90.... the later 13b's have more developments like efi and the 6 port stuff
