Oh yeah, one other thing...

If I do get my '83 fixed, I want to put a louder exhaust on it. Right now its on stock pipes and a manifold, and with no muffler its still quiet... Any crazy ideas?

Order a full Racing Beat dual exhaust system. It's somewhat louder and alot more performance.

Acctually the single pre-silencer system is louder. And for stock motor there is no benifit until the revs hit about 6000, and you loose some mid range.

you could always be like me and run a streight 2" pipe all the way back to a glasspack, (it is in backwords to make it quiter,)

whent with the glasspack to keep the flow, added 40 horses!

I have a similar setup.Mine is 2" with twin 12" glasspacks and its annoying loud on the highway.I need to keep my window down to help drown out some noise. Oh well.If I knew then what I know now about the rx7 I would have went with a 2.5" system. My GT-X is getting a 3" under axle setup.
