Thumbs up

Ok ppl, might have a chance to get an '85 base, good body, good interior, for little to nothing, (the guy who bought my car saw it had been sitting and asked, they said take it, you get it out of here, it's yours...) it turns over but does not start, since i know little to nothing about 1st gens, i assume it has an 12a (since it's not a gsl-se) is carbed, and that's about it :P Any info on what normally goes wrong on the 12a, carbs, electrical, etc.? If he goes and gets it, I'm gonna offer him 100$ for it and i figure that's a decent price even if i can't get it running, cuz i am sure i can find another 12a or go the 13b route (tho i hear that is not NEARLY as much fun as it sounds..the install anyway) I LOVED my 87 n/a, are 1st gens as well balanced?

Thanx for any info beforehand,

Sean

I hear the balance in the FB feels better than a FC too.Plus with the 3K he has if he can get it running for cheap he could swap the stocker carb for a RB/Holley setup with a RB header and exhaust. Then after that all he needs is a bridge port and NOS.

I've only owned one, and i have been wanting another ever since...almost a longing really, what i really want is a S5 TII, but if i can get this 1st gen for little to nothing, it's still a 7!

1st gen are great. A strong, well balnced, light weight package, that's hard to beat at any price never mind for $100.00. **** I've spend more than that on a Fri night hang-over. Go for it at that price you can't lose.
