i need help my car is stuck at school
its an 81 12a i bled my clutch and yet no results clutch willnot disengage so i figuered it was my master or slave so i was wondering if anyone can help me on the steps on the proper way to remove and reinstall a new master and slave cylinders thanks all your help is well appreciated |
I dunno but I think one post was enough.

slave is 2 12mm bolts on top of the tranny, master is 2 12mm nuts, they are up behind the clutch pedal, you can get em with a really small ratchet
|
i had to replace my slave cylender and clutch master cyl. on my 86' FC. basically just remove/replace. no hard steps. should just unbolt/bolt right back on... it will take some fighting cuase i know there both in tight spots. well on mine anyway. dont worry about "bench bleeding" the clutch master cyl. like the instructions say... mine is fine and works great

I would bench bleed if you have a vice and some extra rubber hose. it makes the install much easier. I would also clean the new parts, because there could be debre from machining them. and be gentle when you first pump the clutch so you dont jam the return spring.
